An August 2009 feature in U.S. News & World Report ranks Plano among the Top 10 Best Places to Raise a Family. The article evaluated low crime rates, strong schools, recreation and family facilities and events among other criteria. The Texas Department of Transportation temporarily closed the southwest and southeast U.S. 75 frontage road ramps to and from Parker Road for almost a week recently to divert traffic onto the newly completed eastbound Parker Road bridge. Read more...
